Shading food case study

Often, some types of 3D elements can be harder than others to create realistic looks, and food can be one of them. The folks behind Ratatouille at Pixar published a case study showing how to properly shade and light 3D food.

In the article the artists talk about the approach they took for the animated movie, how to use scatter to capture translucency, and go over the various types of food and what it takes to make them look good.
