Adobe mistake allowed free CS2 downloads

Early in the day on Monday, some users on the site SlickDeals found out that Adobe had released its CS2 suite for free to the world. Unfortunately, the joy did not last long.

Adobe CS2 is 7 years old, but for many, a free version of this set of applications is better than nothing. The downloads only required a free Adobe account, and anyone could download the installation files and serial codes. Unfortunately, those links were soon taken down, as it appears they were instead meant as a replacement download for CS2 owners, after the company took down activation servers.

It looks like artists who need the CS suite will need to buy it, or instead turn to free alternatives.
