Adobe acquires Behance

Behance today announced that they have been acquired by Adobe, with a move by the software giant to expand its online reach.

Behance Network was founded in 2006 and now counts over a million users, artists who display their art on the site in order to share and sell them. The post specifies that the New York based team will remain together, while the site itself will be integrated with Adobe's Creative Cloud, in order to more seamlessly share works between Adobe products and Behance.

As part of their plans for the future, the announcement states that they want to empower creative people and teams to make ideas happen, and they will now be able to leverage Adobe's resources to further build Behance, making their software users more collaborative and in sync with the future of creative workflow.
