Lucasfilm faces new pregnancy discrimination claim

Lucasfilm is making the news again this week with the Hollywood Reporter reporting a new alleged case of pregnancy discrimination against the company's Singapore subsidiary.

The claim comes from VFX artist Luis Pages who described in a long blog post how his wife became pregnant, and then faced medical complications, which led to the company firing him without explanation after he had received permission to take time off in order to visit his wife.

This is not the first time Lucasfilm has faced an accusation involving pregnancy. In 2010, the company lost a pregnancy discrimination and wrongful termination lawsuit in the US. The company refused to comment on this case but did say that ''There’s more to the story'', according to the report.
