TideArt is back in action

Greetings all, this is Patrick Lambert, the Managing Editor of TideArt, and I'm very pleased to announce that TideArt is back in action. What does that mean exactly? TideArt was launched in the summer of 2011 to cover the online world of art, every day. On this site you were able to find news, tutorials, features, interviews, showcases, behind the scenes videos, basically everything you want to know about people making digital art, 2D, 3D, VFX and mixed media.

Unfortunately, last winter the site was brought to a halt due to a lack of funding. But now, we're back in action!

Here are some of the changes and improvements you can expect to find on the site in the coming weeks and months:

* First, we have a great group of people following the news and happenings in the world of art, ready to share with you everything that's going on, whether it be new 3D software programs, interesting interviews with artists, or showcases.

* Then, the site's back-end has been redesigned so that items can be more easily posted to the home page, allowing us to update you in real time, without the need for expensive server hardware or hosting solutions.

* Finally, we have several projects in the works to help finance the site going forward, along with new projects that will hopefully be helpful for fans of digital art. In the mean time, if you have ideas for features, or suggestions for things you want to see on the site, leave a comment below.

So stay tuned, follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Google+, and happy reading!
