Adobe to lay off 750 workers

Adobe announced tonight its plan to lay off 750 workers, and spend $94 million on restructuring the company around new digital technologies and marketing. The company plans to keep offering its creative suite of applications, and invest more in touch-based apps, along with cloud services. It also expects to keep moving its tools towards HTML5, as opposed to traditional plugins. For example, they will no longer be developing Flash for Android or Playbook. Shares of the company fell in after-hours trading.
