Blender 2.60 released

Blender 2.60 has just been released to the public. This latest version of the free 3D modeling program is a major milestone, the first in the 2.6x series. It includes a bunch of new and updated features including 3D audio and video, an improved animation system, new vertex group modifiers, more translations, an improved game engine, and new Python APIs for add-ons. According to their roadmap, the 2.6x series should keep going over the coming year and keep improving Blender, adding new features, and fixing current bugs.
