Inside: A social film experience

In a very interesting experiment, Intel and Toshiba have launched the project Inside, a film experience with an online casting call, where everyone is invited to participate in. The plot is a young woman who finds herself in a locked room with nothing but a laptop, and she has to use the laptop to reach out to friends through social media to figure out where she is and how to get out.

Viewers will be encouraged to connect with Christina, the movie's main character, tweet clues and post advices to her Facebook wall, and help her in a real way. The film will air in short episodes starting on July 25. There's no doubt that the film will be highly promotional for these companies, but it's quite an interesting premise, and the social element may help make this viral.
